Violone
Model according to Johann Joseph Stadlmann 18th century, Vienna
Violone, Double bass baroque
I have been working intensively for over 20 years on the Viennese double bass of the 18th century. I have restored many. Among others, a J.J. Stadlmann Bass which belonged to the chapel of the Esterhazys at the time of Joseph Haydn and was played there. My replicas are played by many famous musicians. J.J. Stadlmann has built the probably best sounding Viennese double basses. The basses of Sebastian Dallinger I find outstanding - so I build two models after these.
Special
Double bass with detachable neck. At the request of my many traveling customers, I have also been building double basses with removable neck for several years. This makes it possible to fly with a smaller, lighter flight box. In addition, the neck can not break off during transport.
